An annual performing and visual arts celebration by and for the community.
The Better Together Gala is a roving feast of art and performance showcasing Indigenous, newcomer, and immigrant literary, performing, and visual artists. A rare opportunity for newcomer community members from all backgrounds, community leaders, and newcomer-serving groups to come together to celebrate one another and to connect socially over food, art, and performance at the beautiful Belfry Theatre!
The Gala is also a time to recognize a youth who exemplifies Representation, Engagement, and Participation in their community work with the REP Youth Award. The REP Youth Award highlights the community achievements of newcomer, immigrant, Indigenous, and Canadian-born youth with historical and/or current barriers to equity who are building bridges across diverse communities.
